What kind of substrate should i use for my ball python?

I just got a ball python about a year old off of craigslist. He came with this dirt kind of substrate. I was going to keep it, except I didn't know what kind of substrate it was and a bit got in his mouth when he was feeding. I basically narrowed it down to aspen, cypress mulch, Eco-earth, and coconut chips. Which should I use?
