Will store credit at Gamestop work at affiliated stores?

I recently stopped playing video games, and I want to sell them, but stores like Gamestop kill you with reductions if you trade in for cash instead of store credit, but since I don't play games anymore, I don't want anything they sell. At my local mall, though, there are many affiliated stores, so if I opted for the store credit, would it be valid at the other affiliated stores?
