I don't know what to do with my skin! What the heck is wrong with it and how do I fix it?

I don't even know if my skin is dry or dehydrated at this point - or both? It feels very tight/dry after I wash my face or take a shower. It's not flaky or white. I have a mild rosacea so the extreme dryness or dehydration really irritates it. I use a serum which helps but it's not enough, and when I put moisturizer on my face, especially where the rosacea is, gets really shiny. I don't understand why it's shiny though when there's no oil or sebum,, how can there be when I JUST put moisutizer on? It's really frustrating. I just want my skin to be hydrated and soft and normal. Can someone help me?

Neglected Dog, What Do I Do For Old Maxx?

I used to have a beagle named Maxx. He is an ancient beagle and when I moved I had to leave old Maxxo behind with a couple who have several dogs. I recently saw him and he is in BAD shape he is blind and in pain and dirty and just a mess all around. He has no teeth but the people who took him don't bother buying him soft food. I Love this dog to death he is old but I can't have my daughter around dogs, (severe allergies). They also have several dogs that they just cant take care of and a horse living in mud with practically no shelter. You've got all the things required from a pet shop. I think your hammy will be happier with some natural stuff around him/her. Put in a few rounded twigs...if your hammy is small, then small twigs and as they grow older, harder but round twigs in the corners, so they can sharpen their nails on it and bite it when it wants to, or you may find that it bites the cage bars. Also, from experience I can tell you that it will be happy with a couple of fresh tissues daily as a bedding. This is more hygienic, and because you can change the tissues daily, you'll find that the cage does not stink. Remember to keep your hammy in another small temporary cage while you clean the regular cage with soap and water, dry it, pack the floor with fresh sawdust and provide a couple of tissues, fresh water, fresh food etc at least on a weekly basis, so that the cage does not smell and your hammy is well cared for and is healthy and happy.

Some Pet Rat Questions and Help?

So I got two male rats form the local animal shelter. Oreo and Snickers. They are both six weeks old and litter mates. I got Oreo the day before because I didn't know they would get lonely with just one rat. I went back the next day and got snickers. The shelter put him in a large hamster ball for the ride home and I noticed he was sneezing. Oreo was fine I never heard him sneeze. Anyhow after I put them in the cage the next day Oreo was sneezing to. It’s not all the time but it is a couple times ever hour or two. I have been researching upper respatory infections and I know that they are contagious but they don’t have another symptom besides sneezing. They both have clear eyes no discharge no runny nose no patches on their skin or anything. Also the closest vet is about 80 miles away. I have only had them three days. Do you think it’s just a little cold or something serious? Please help I’m already worried about losing them. They don’t use cedar or pine bedding because I know that isn’t good. Bump/lump under knee?

Ok, so I bought a 6 week Old Netherland Dwarf Male and it is super young! the lady told me it was Ok to go home because since their size is so small, they stop drinking milk from their mom early. I have an older iOS on my Iphone, I was trying to update my facebook when my phone froze. I resprung first, and that did no good whatsoever. You could also just spray it down with the hose, and dry it with paper towels without any soap and that would help a little bit. The best thing to do is clean the cage with soap and warm water every time you clean the cage (once a week,) that's what works best. I bought a female sub adult super hypo tangerine carrot tail gecko 3 days a go. I bought it second hand and she was really tame. It was kept with it's mother and another gecko (both female) however when i bought them back to mine, i put it on it's own with a heat mat, whilst the other 2 arein the breeding tank (males not in there yet, im giving them time to settle down). The 2nd day the baby's skin start going darker and now (on the 3rd day) it's quite dark. Orinially it was bright yellow and now it's gone to a darker yellow. Also, the skin between her 'bumps' on her body, some of it looks sandy?and she's kept on aspen bedding as a substrate. So I have decided that I want to get a Winter White Hamster. I am wondering which sex smells worse. I know that does smell worse when they are in heat, but I also know that males urine is stronger. How do you cure dry, irritated skin on a dog?

My eight-month-old black Lab, Aspen, recently had a bad flea infestation, that, thankfully, seems to be almost completely gone. The problem is, the fleas were so thick on him for so long, they left his skin red and irritated. The biggest problem areas are his undercarriage (base of chin to under tail), "arm" pits, and the underside of his ears. In the places where it's not flaky, his coat is sparse and coarse. It's not /really/ bad as far as the coat goes, but it is thinning pretty quickly - he's still shedding even though his winter coat is 98% gone. So is there anything I can apply to his skin/coat to get rid of the irritation? Natural remedies are preferred - I don't like the idea of making his skin absorb chemicals and such, which can cause liver and kidney failure as he gets older.

Well you're right about pine and cedar. Soft woods like this release phenols that cause respiratory issures and complications. Hardwoods like Aspen are fine though. They're not the best out there but they're not harmful. Just be sure to pick up a non-dusty bag when you buy it :)

Renting a house in foreclosure?

I was recently made aware, through a certified letter from the Bank that holds the mortgage, that the house I lease is in foreclosure. The Bank says to send payments to them. I did this month, and the Propety Manager called a week later and said that I was past due on my rent. I told him about the letter from the Bank, and that the letter gave the appearance that he was no longer affiliated with the property. He said to continue to send payments to him until which time the house was foreclosed on, which would terminate my lease, or his firm was terminated by the owner or by the pending foreclosure. In the meantime, a for sale sign appears in my front yard, and a realtor was in my house showing it to a potential buyer without my knowledge while I was away on vacation (I came home to find his business card on my table) AND they re-arranged my landscaping to take pictures to post on their website (the landscaping was put back, but I saw the pictures of the house on the realtors website showing that they had moved everything around). I am caught in the middle of a big mess. My question is this...when the bank forecloses (and I was told on the phone that they could not tell me whether the house was in foreclosure at this time, but could in 2 weeks), is my lease null as it is with a Property Management company and not the bank or the owner of the house directly? If the past 3 weeks are an example of what I can expect, I want out.

You should not put them on ANY loose substrate. They can accidentally eat it and become impacted. Leopard geckos do live in the desert, but not in a sandy desert. Its more of a dry environment with hard packed earth and clay. They do not naturally live in any loose substrates. I am making an affiliate marketing website and I am using wordpress as the cms. I've made a template that is the same for each page, however on each page will be different adverts in a unique order so at the moment I will need to insert the advert code and html on each page (which will take days) but I want to just insert the ad code into a tool or file and it would identify which page is requesting which adverts and insert the advert code into the html automatically. Snakes can't expel mucus the way a mammal can, so it kind of just wells up and out through the mouth, nostrils and the heat pits. Without aggressive care, the mucus builds up and slowly suffocates the snake.

Help? Are we being screwed?

My mom was just diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer on friday. She was diagnosed a year or two ago in one breast but it was really really early. She had a mastectomy and chemo but then it came back in the other breast. For the past few months she has been having a lot of trouble breathing, she couldn't even walk up a flight of stairs. She had a mastectomy a few weeks ago and after they sent her home she had to go to the emergency room because she couldn't breath. That's when they finally found out that it had spread to her lungs and bones. The doctors didn't even try to find out the real cause of her breathing problem before the surgery. They said "Oh it's Asthma." NOW they're scrambling to find some answers. The hospital she is in right now is already her second and now they want to transfer her again! She just got to this hospital last night! We haven't even been able to really sit down with the doctors to talk to them. It took her oncologist two weeks to even tell her she had cancer because she was on vacation! Little did she know that it wasn't just in her breast. They said "It's early." It really seems like they dropped the ball and now my poor mom has to suffer for it. Her oncologist is the one who wants her transferred again because she is affiliated with the hospital. That gives me a feeling that she wasn't even consulted about the last transfer. There just seems to be so much mis-communication. Please help!! I don't want to lose my mom. If anyone has any encouraging stories about people who have cured stage IV cancer I would appreciate it so much!!!! Thanks in advance!

Bump/lump under knee?

I'm 17 and today I found a decently hard bump/lump (kinda soft) about the size of a quarter under my right knee. Never got my rootcanal finish and I am afraid it is infected. What can I do?

About 2 weeks ago I went into Aspen dental for fillings. I was tolled that I did need a root canal but we agreed that would wait til the end of the month. When I got there she started to drill the tooth were she wanted to do the root canal saying I just want to see if this tooth can be saved. Next thing I know I was in horrible, horrible, pain. I was yelling and crying my eyes out it was so bad. She would stop for a moment and tell me it needs to be done now, she went back to drilling, it wasn't until the 4th time of me screaming I told her enough stop. She then told me that she already started it and she has to finish it. The pain was horrible. Needless to say she sent me home and didn't finish it after my legs went flying up in the air when I was in pain kicking everything off the table. She put little cotton balls in it and tolled me it can't be pulled after I BEGGED for her to just pull it. Now I am so terrified I am going to have to go though all that pain again I don't want to go back. My tooth is acking me and the little cotton balls that are in there are filled with puss. I keep changing the cotton balls myself at home and I would rather have it pulled. Its in the back anyways. When I called them back to have it pulled once again I am tolled I can't because its considered a "hot tooth" and it has to have a root canal. My tooth is throbbing but its not as bad as it was when she was drilling me to death. I put some oral gell on the outer gums, and rinse it out very well before putting the fresh cotton ball back in. The only prescription they gave me was for Oxy's for the pain and tolled me to take one before I go back to relax me? I thought that was to much. I rather just have it out after all this pain and don't understand why I can't.
